The story

MJW Design Studio started for a simple reason: every small business owner I talked to had been burned at least once. They'd hired a freelancer who disappeared. They'd paid an agency $15K for a site they couldn't update. They'd tried to DIY it on Squarespace and given up after three weekends. They needed something better — and the gap between "DIY templates" and "agency overhead" wasn't being filled.

We sit squarely in that gap. Custom design, real code, real SEO, AI baked in, flat-rate pricing, 7-day delivery. Same person on every step from kickoff to launch. No handoffs. No surprise invoices. No "we have to schedule a discovery workshop with the strategy team."

How we work

• One point of contact — Michelle. Same person designing, building, and supporting your site. No tier-1 reps, no project managers, no "let me check with my team."
• AI as a force multiplier, not a substitute — we use AI tools (OpenClaw, Claude, GPT) to move faster, but every page is reviewed and finished by a human who knows what good looks like.

Where we work

Based in Covington, GA (Newton County, just east of Atlanta). We serve small businesses across the Atlanta metro and Georgia in person, and remote clients across the United States.

What we believe

1. Most "agency overhead" doesn't make websites better. Strategy decks, kickoff workshops, multiple stakeholders — they slow timelines and inflate prices without changing the visitor's experience by a single percentage point.
2. The site is just the start. A pretty site nobody visits is wallpaper. Real success means getting traffic, converting it, and closing it. We build for that whole funnel, not just the design.
3. AI search is the new SEO. By 2027 most product research will start in ChatGPT or AI Overviews, not Google's blue links. Sites built today need to be readable to both.
4. Speed is a feature. 7 days isn't a gimmick — it's what's possible when scope is defined, decisions are pre-staged, and the same person owns every step.

What we don't do

• We don't run paid ads campaigns (we'll recommend who can).
• We don't manage social media accounts.
• We don't do logo design as a standalone service (we'll do it as part of a build).
• We don't take retainer-only "marketing" engagements without a project to anchor them.
